Vietnam unveils national costume for Miss International 2022

“Poinsettia Flower” designed by Le Long Vu and Than Nguyen An Kha draws inspiration from the legend of the Poinsettia Flower and Nguyen Thi Due, who was the first and only doctoral laureate female mandarin in Vietnamese feudal history.

Most notably, the highlight of the design is the headdress and the body of the dress, both of which have been decorated on architectural features from the statues of the Ly and Nguyen dynasties.

Phuong Anh is 22-years-old and stands at 1.77 metres tall with measurements of 87-61-93. The beauty, hailing  from Ho Chi Minh City, first rose to prominence by winning the first runner-up title at Miss Vietnam 2020, meeting the criteria to compete at the global pageant.

The design is named “Poinsettia Flower”

First launched in 1960, Miss International makes up one of the Big Four international beauty competitions, alongside Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. This year’s contest was originally scheduled to take place in Japan in 2021, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the previous contests, Vietnamese representatives claimed major prizes, with Pham Hong Thuy Van winning the third runner-up title in 2015, and Tuong San finishing among the Top 8 in 2019.

Huynh Tran Y Nhi Wins Miss World Vietnam 2023 Title

The first and second runner-up titles go to Dao Thi Hien (R) and Huynh Minh Kien (L). Huynh Tran Y Nhi, 21 from Binh Dinh province is 1.75 meters tall with a body measurement of 79-59-89. She is currently a student from Ho Chi Minh City. Earlier Y Nhi is the winner of the Miss Fashion sub-title. Djokovic dominates Sinner to claim record-breaking seventh ATP Finals championship
